Chinese Safety License System Application
Under the auspices of the state Administration of the People's Republic of China for quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine(AQSIQ), your Company's products may be subject to the submission of formal applications, document inspections, type-testing and full factory inspections. A processes relevant to China's Compulsory Certification System must be concluded in advance of product sales in China. Upon successful completion of all processes- the manufacturer must affix the CCC Mark to the actual product, and its packaging/ transportation materials.
What is the China Compulsory Certification?
The CCC mark is the new compulsory Safety & Quality mark for many products sold on the Chinese market. It is the result of the recent integration of China's two compulsory inspection systems ( one to check contents of products for import and export, and the other for quality control) into a single procedure. The new CCC mark replaces the two old marks , namely CCIB and CCEE used in the two old inspection systems.
CCC mark became effective on the Aug 1, 2002 and the old system be annulled on May1, 2003. That means stating from Aug 1, 2003, the catalogue products either marketed by domestic manufacturers or imported must obtain the certificate for compulsory product certification and be applied China Compulsory Certification mark before they are imported and marketed. Starting from Aug 1,2003, the sales outlets or importers are not permitted to purchase, import or sell the Catalogue products that do not bear the New Certificate and the New Mark.
